Today I Appreciate….
- Marching with the Saints to Super Bowl Victory – I hadn’t planned on watching the Super Bowl… I’m really not a football fan….
Well I was a fan at one time – When Gale was here in the physical – I watched football for about 17 years. I did have a choice – watch it or be a football widow. 
The last time I had watched a game was over 7 years ago….
I had been hearing bits & pieces about how excited New Orleans was that their team – the Saints – had made it to this game. I had also heard that the Saints were not expected to win…. Yesterday, early evening – I was taking a break and decided to see if the game was on… There was a pre game interview with the Saints quaterback, Drew Brees - his story was touching and inspiring…. I thought – maybe I will watch the game….
At game time I was sitting there ready to root for the Saints…. It was an exciting game! I was rooting and cheering the Saints on! I was applauding, the dogs were barking and Zowie (our parrot) was screeching when they won!
The TV also showed Bourbon Street in New Orleans – those folks were out in droves and they were celebrating!
I don’t think I will be watching another football game anytime soon …. but it was lots of fun being part of this special celebration!

I appreciate driving my car again. For a few weeks, due to vacations and work schedules, I was driven and/or picked up from work. That was nice. It is equally nice to be behind the wheel. I love my car. I washed her yesterday. She really loved it and I did too!
I appreciate all the wonderful possibilties that are out there for me (and for all of us). When I feel myself resisting, I try to conjure up all the possibilities, all the opportunites, that I can attract to me. At the very least, it is comforting and helps me ride out those “bumps”.
