My Mechanic

Today I Appreciate….

  • My Car Mechanic – Yesterday I brought my jeep in to have the oil changed and the tires rotated. I actually like to see my mechanic… he is personable, funny and really good at taking car of my car.

He checks everything out thoroughly and explains what he is doing…. I stay there as he works on the car – no buses or cabs up here in the boonies to take you back home …

I was there about 40 minutes… As I was driving back home I was thinking how much I appreciate people who have these skills and knowledge to get these things done for us. Imagine if we had to do everything for ourselves!

What do you appreciate today?

I appreciate that my boss, who is under a lot of pressure, tries her best at doing her job. She is dedicated, enthusiastic and focused. Amazingly, with all that, she strives to take care of her children and be there for them in every way possible.

I appreciate the flexibility I have at my job when it comes to taking time off. I have the option of leaving at any point today if I feel the driving conditions are too hazardous. I can choose to leave early to avoid some of the traffic. That is a good thing.

I appreciate how hard my boyfriend works to uplift himself in attitude, outlook and self-worth. He too has a lot of habits to change in turns of thinking and self talk and he amazes me sometimes with his insights.

I appreciate my awesome parking spot. Woo hoo!

Yes - I Appreciate that too! Thumb up 0

OK, Mary Ann, on Wednesdays, I get to work at 10am, and used to have to park way up on the hill because all the parking spots were gone. Today, the BEST — yes the BEST parking spot I could possibly get was empty and available for me as I drove in. YES!!

I got a phone call from my honey this afternoon “out of the blue,” just to say, “Hello.” How nice was that?

Yes - I Appreciate that too! Thumb up 0
