IN the 3 1/2 years here, I have seen a coyote, a black panther, a bobcat, a gazzilion turkeys and several groupings of deer. For the last two Christmas eves, a deer has come as close as the two little ones in the picture to wish us a Merry Christmas! I appreciate the team of people I work with. This weekend, I did a little extra work. My boss was a phone call away, people are confirming that they will work my shifts while I am away next month, and others are an IM away with information that I need immediately. What a team! Betwixt and between other things, I watch a little about the Haiti rescue doings. I appreciate the people who put themselves out, some of them in harm's way, to help or save a stranger. I am overwhelmed at times with the opportunities that will arise out of this. Haiti will be the center of treating amputees, for example. The opportunities for positive change are infinite. It will be awesome to witness the recovery process. I appreciate this opportunity to live and learn from the Haitians. Oh yes, I do appreciate our visitors. We had breakfast out and then we did our grocery shopping. We work really well as a team. We worked together to bring the bill down. We talked about cooking and the recipes we wanted to try. There was a really nice energy between us. I appreciate the glorious nap I took this afternoon. I really zonked out and felt refreshed when I awoke. I appreciate the lovely little birthday party my friends threw for me last night. They actually queened me. We talked about getting older, gaining wisdom and appreciating the process.
